About Miltons Jewellers
Miltons comprises a number of family businesses* with shops in Chester, Birkenhead and Liverpool ( two ), now run by the fourth generation of the Milton family and employing over eighty people.
You may have seen us over the years in the newspapers, on the television or radio, or during our television advertising on ITV ( Granada region ) which started in 2011.
We specialise in buying and selling mid-to higher-end pre-owned jewellery from below a hundred pounds up to about £50,000. Each of the shops is slightly different so, for example, more of our premium pieces will be found at the Chester and Liverpool St. John’s stores. We enjoy annual sales of over £5,000,000. You can expect to find pre-owned pieces in our stores which you would not see in many others: items from Boodles, Chopard, Cartier, Gucci, and David M. Robinson, not to mention some 200 or so secondhand Rolex!
We are blessed with specialist staff in a number of fields, including two NAG Registered Valuers, a number of RJDips / PJDips, a former NAG Greenough Trophy winner and the highly-trained specialist watch team, about whom you can read separately on this website.
This website provides general information about our services and shows our premium jewellery selection, but we also have a watch-specific website showing all our 200 or so available Rolex and watches from some other premium brands at www.miltonaires.com
We are members of the National Association of Goldsmiths and the National Pawnbrokers Association ( where one of our Directors is a former President and the other is a serving Council Member ). We are also signed up to the voluntary “Gold Standard” which sets industry-leading criteria for businesses which buy from the general public.
The four colleagues who comprise our Valuation Team are individually members of either the NAJ’s Institute of Registered Valuers or the Jewellery Valuers Association respectively.
* The companies are Miltons (Liverpool) Ltd, M.S.Milton Ltd and S.S.Milton Ltd. When you visit or do business at any of our stores it will be clear which specific company you are dealing with. For consumer credit matters, each of these companies is separately Authorised and Regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. More specific details may be found on our FAQ page
